At Chaparral Wrestling Club, we understand the critical role that coaches play in young athletes' lives. All of our coaches go through an extensive background check, are USA Wrestling coaching certified, and most importantly, are good men that have your child's best interest in mind - on and off the mat.

Sam Bell

Treasurer | Assistant High School Coach

  • State Qualifier, California State Meet
  • 100+ HS Varsity wins
  • BA and MBA from Washington State University, Pullman
  • 10+ years wrestling coaching experience (Vaca Pena Middle School in Vacaville, CA; youth wrestling for Legend and Chaparral, CO)
  • Opportunity to coach numerous youth and eventual HS state placers, qualifiers, and even a Super Bowl champion.

  • Began wrestling in Beat the Streets, NY
  • Varsity wrestler for Xaverian and New Utrecht High Schools, NY
  • Full-time Greco Training at Northern Michigan Olympic Training Site 2015-2019
  • OTC Athlete, Colorado Springs, Senior Level Greco-Roman Team
  • Junior & Senior Greco All-American; World Team Trials Qualifier
