Elite Youth Travel Team Information

The Elite Youth Travel Team is reserved for youth and middle school wrestlers who consistently seek out the best competition every weekend by traveling across the country and competing in the toughest national tournaments we can find. Our Elite team wrestlers rarely compete at local tournaments, but when they do, they always compete in the advanced bracket and rarely, if ever, lose matches in these local tournaments.

Many of our Elite Youth Team members train year-round and compete in all three styles to enhance their skills and knowledge in the sport of wrestling. Our Elite Team wrestlers at the high school level practice with our partner club, Black Fox Wrestling Academy in Franktown, CO.

Wrestlers must qualify for this team and be placed by both the CWC Head Coach and the Black Fox Head Coach.

  • On average, this group is for 10-18-year-olds with 5+ years of wrestling experience and those who have graduated from the Advanced Team and are placing in the top 5 year-in-and-year-out at the state tournament.
  • Very few kids under the age of 10 can handle the Elite team practices because of the extremely high intensity that this group of kids practices with and the high level of technical skill and knowledge needed to hang with kids in this room.
  • The Elite team requires an ability to focus and stay engaged for extended periods of time, display extreme attention to detail, a demonstrated understanding and mastering of fundamental techniques, and the ability to push yourself mentally and physically outside of your comfort zone for an extended period of time.
  • Most of the kids on the Elite team wrestle year-round. They have made wrestling their passion and have dreams of winning national titles, wrestling at the collegiate level, and representing Team USA at international events and competitions.

Currently, our Elite Youth Travel Team is combined with Black Fox Wrestling Academy in Franktown. Practices are held in Franktown at Black Fox Wrestling Academy and led by Coach Luke Morris, Coach Alex Joseph, and CWC Head Coach Nate Becker.

All CWC Elite Youth Travel Team members will register directly with Black Fox Wrestling Academy this season.
